The portable BOD/COD Field Meter from Real Tech provides simple and affordable testing of organic matter in water or wastewater. Operation is straight forward with accurate and repeatable results obtained in seconds. An optional Battery Pack allows for sampling anywhere, anytime giving the user true portability.</p>
<p>MEASUREMENT PRINCIPLE<br />
Real Tech’s innovative BOD/COD meter provides superior measurement performance across multiple wavelengths of light using UV and visible LEDs. Many compounds absorb light in the UV-VIS spectrum including organic compounds. Absorbance data at specific wavelengths of interest can then be related and<br />
approximated to BOD and COD, therefore providing a monitoring solution for these critically important water quality parameters without the use of hazardous reagents or waiting for lengthy lab turnaround times. Process control improvements can then be implemented when it matters the most, providing cost savings, optimization and event detection, thus improving operators’ ability to meet water quality goals.<br />
Since correlations between absorbance and traditional BOD and COD vary depending on the type of organic compounds that are making up these aggregate parameters, it is important that the Real BOD/COD Field Meter utilizes a correlation, also known as a calibration model, that matches the site-specific water characteristics to ensure most accurate results.</p>
<p>LIQUID AI CUSTOM CALIBRATION ENABLED<br />
Real Tech’s BOD/COD Meter comes ready with several starter calibrations pre-programmed onto the meter. Access to additional starter calibration models can be obtained by connecting via USB to a PC with Real Tech’s Liquid Ai Data Management PC Software Program. In addition to starter calibration models, site specific<br />
calibration models can be created and loaded the BOD/COD meter using the software’s easy custom calibration builder tool, empowering users with confidence in the accuracy of their results. In the field, measurements can be taken using any of the<br />
calibration models previously loaded onto the BOD/COD meter. Users can also build upon their site-specific calibrations over time to further increase the accuracy and robustness of measurements for any given monitoring site.</p>

MoistTech developed the 3000-IP67 online NIR sensor to withstand<br />
wash-downs, dusty / dirty environments, and to protect it against<br />
the effects of immersion. Its rugged stainless steel enclosure<br />
makes it ideal for the harshest environments, aggressive process<br />
applications and the industry’s extreme temperatures. IP67<br />
include an integrated air vortex or liquid cooling system that is<br />
rated from 0°C to 93°C (200°F); additionally, insulation wraps are<br />
available.<br />
Insensitive to material variations such as particle size, material<br />
height and color, the IR-3000 provides continuous, reliable readings.<br />
It’s one-time calibration, maintenance free, drift free optical design<br />
allows operating personnel to confidently make immediate process<br />
adjustments based on real-time measurements.<br />
Production efficiency improvements due to accurate real-time<br />
measurements provide both energy savings and potential<br />
increased productivity with lower material losses.<br />
The IR-3000 uses state-of-the-art components allowing<br />

<p style="text-align: center;">NEAR INFRARED (NIR) TECHNOLOGY<br />
All molecular bonds absorb specific wavelengths<br />
of light. Hydrogen bonds including O-H (water);<br />
C-H (hydrocarbon) and N-H (ammonia) all absorb<br />
strongly in the NIR spectral region. The amount of NIR<br />
energy reflected at a given wavelength is inversely<br />
proportional to the quantity of absorbing molecules in a product.<br />
The NIR technique is a non-destructive, noncontacting measurement. MoistTech’s sensor utilizes multiple wavelengths of NIR light, projected onto the product at a very high repetition rate. The reflected light is then measured using a digitally enhanced<br />
detection system and thousands of data points are sampled every second.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The LB 571 microwave resonator for online measurement of moisture content in bulk materials is based on the resonance technology. This technique is determined by electromagnetic waves (microwaves) in a dielectric cylindrical resonator.</p>
<p>The sensor with integrated signal processing unit can be used for a wide range of bulk<br />
materials in a moisture range of between 0 and 30 %.<br />
Due to the flexible clamping ring, installation possibilities are manifold.</p>
