Digital pH measurement for industrial water and wastewater
The ABB 500 PRO-D is a digital pH or ORP sensor with EZLink connectivity. Its PVDF (Kynar) body, triple-junction reference, ion trap and reference shielding are designed to resist chemical attack, abrasion and reference poisoning. A closely coupled temperature element helps the sensor respond to changing process temperatures.
ABB lists wastewater effluents, scrubbers, dye baths, mineral processing and paper mills among its applications. Milktronics can help select the glass formulation, body style and mounting for your process.
Select the right pH glass

Choose the electrode for the actual liquid and operating conditions. The optional platinum ORP version measures −2,000 to +2,000 mV at 0–100°C; it is a separate electrode selection.
EZLink connection and diagnostics
Connect the sensor to an ABB EZLink-capable transmitter. Calibration, diagnostic and manufacturing information are stored in the sensor and transferred when it is recognized. Sensor impedance monitoring detects faults such as broken glass or an out-of-sample condition, while reference monitoring provides information on electrode health.

ABB lists a separate CRN maximum allowable working pressure of 5.58 bar (81 psi). Use the limits that apply to your supplied configuration and installation.
Mounting and configuration
Available accessories include flowcells, quick-connect bayonet fittings and dip-pole assemblies. Optional automatic cleaning is available. The flush body with flat glass promotes self-cleaning when correctly positioned in flow; the notched body provides protection for bullet-style glass.
